The Chickasaw Nation is based in Oklahoma. Their language is on the UNESCO endangered language list which is why Chickasaw Cowriter Nicolette thought it to be important to put some of the language into the show. Nicolette has gotten much support from fellow tribal members both in encouragement, history of the tribe, research, and language.
